The Friends List settings window offers you three tabs.
The General Tab
The General tab lets you select general settings:

Note that you cannot chat or send files to offline friends.

- Context Menu: The context menus are windows that pop up when you click on the name of a friend. You can choose to have these menus appear with the left or right mouse button.
- Player Mode: Choose your preferred Friends List player mode. Beginner or Advanced Players are indicated by the buttons found on the lower part of your Friends List. In the Advanced mode, these buttons become icons. Click here for more information.
- The Display Tab: Here you can change various display options for your Friends List.
- Always on Top: If you check this option, your Friends List will always be on top of all other Windows programs.

- Enable Hot Tracking: If you enable this feature, your friend's name will be highlighted whenever you hold the mouse pointer over it.
- Auto Hide: If you check this option, your Friends List will automatically hide itself. You may select the number of minutes it takes for your Friends List to hide.

- Transparency: If you have Widows 2000 or higher, the graphic transparency of your Friends List may be adjusted.
