Friends List

The Friends List is ubi.com's ultimate communication tool. With it you can talk to friends, send files, find any player on all ubi.com compatible games, including web-based and retail games.

The Friends List has two player interface modes: Beginner mode (shown above) and Advanced mode. The only difference is that the Advanced mode displays icons only, making the Friends List more compact. To switch from one mode to the other, use the Settings button.

Add Friends

You can add new friends to your Friends List in two different ways:

  1. Using the Add New Friend button.
  2. Using the Who's On web page.

In the Friends List, you can add a friend by clicking or the . These buttons will open the Friend Search window.

Friend Search Window

To use the Friend Search window, you need to enter your friend's information and click the Search button. At least one of the fields must be filled for the search to run. The Friend Search window displays no more than 20 results at a time.

After you've entered the search information, click this to run the search.

If the search brings up someone you want to add to your Friend's List, select their name and click this button. This will bring up the Group Selection window, where you can choose what group you want to add your Friend to. You can either add them to an existing group from your list, or create a new list in the box below the group list. Once you've chosen the group, click the Done button to add the friend.

You can also click the Create New Group button to create your own groups. Clicking the Cancel button will cancel the Add New Friend process.

This button closes the Friend Search Window.

This button opens up the User Info Window. Click here for more information about the User Info window.

As you can see, the Advanced Friends List uses an icon bar at the top, instead of the large buttons used on the bottom of the Beginner Friends List.
